Auckland Museum and Hobson Bay

When it comes to writing things down I’m a couple of days behind at the moment (SORRY), but I’m enjoying my time for sure. It’s just that I’m outdoor all the time, my roommates go to bed early and the internet connection isn’t really working (and sometimes I’m just tired). I decided to drive up North for a couple of days, instead of waiting in Auckland for my bank account and stuff. So it happened, that I booked my first Intercity bus ticket and a new hostel and spent my last day in Auckland in the War Memorial Museum (a little boring, but it’s for free, if you can present a letter with your name on it and an address in Auckland / go to see the Maori section first) and down at Hobson Bay. You hardly find anything for tourists on the harbor at the west coast, but there are some trails and the tide is nice.

Hänge ein paar Tage hinter her mit meiner Berichterstattung, aber ich habe wirklich eine schöne Zeit hier. Ich habe beschlossen doch ein paar Tage Richtung Norden zu fahren, statt hier in Auckland auf mein Bankkonto und die Sozialversicherungsnummer zu warten. So habe ich meinen ersten Intercity Bus und ein neues Hostel gebucht und dann meinen letzten Tag in Auckland im Auckland Museum (freier Eintritt mit einem Brief, der eine Adresse in Auckland nachweist) und dann mit einer Wanderung an der Hobson Bay verbracht. Der westliche Hafen ist touristisch nicht erschlossen und man sieht vor allem Nachbarschaften und das Schauspiel von Ebbe und Flut in der Bucht. Wird aber Zeit, dass ich richtig an die Küste komme. Die Busfahrten und Spaziergänge hier in Auckland ziehen sich in die Länge, wenn man in die Natur will.
